Chukka was extubated a couple of days ago (this means they took the tube for the heart/lung machine out of her windpipe) and is now able to talk. Overall, she's doing quite well medically. She still has a fever.
She knows about her legs. I can't imagine... Please put a short comment and your name -- perhaps I can print the comments out and snail mail them to my mother in her hotel. All we can do for now is send her our support and love.
You can also still send her cards -- eventually she will move out of ICU into another ward, and she can see them then. I think they will matter to her.

The Herrings had a Meeting, and are planning to start your 1:87th scale Burner friday, which techinquely is today! They said they would posts pics' upon its completion. Although they are so slow (hehehee) it probly wont even make it up on web till you get back stateside.
I truely want to say, Im sorry for this tragic accident. Please be strong, I know its going to be a rough hall, but we're all pushing for you! This really sucks that this happened to my favorite online fishy. There is a handful of people that I used to come to the eplaya to see, and you were definitely in the top of the list. You know me, I'm not very good at this stuff- I'm about as sympathetic as a dead rat. But this should not have happened to you. I'm so very sorry to hear this. My sole consolation is the fact that a wide eyed fishy got to take in some incredible places prior to this happening. Be well and come back. I would gladly return to the eplaya if I knew you were going to be there.
